b. Condom Demonstrations/Distribution
Condom embarrassment is prevalent all over India, and
Tamil Nadu is no different. This attitude towards condoms
prevent people from buying them at shops for fear they
will get recognized, and asking for help as to how they
are to be used. SIP+ conducts condom distribution and
demonstration drives, where people are shown the correct
way to use a condom and are encouraged to ask questions,
handle the condom, and learn its importance in a safe,
non-judgmental environment. This program is conducive
to decreasing condom embarrassment and encouraging condom
usage among the general public.
