The absence of health care professionals willing to assist these Disadvantaged people adds to the problems of positive people. Counselors with professional expertise are not available for the guidance of the positive people. We recommend that an in house health care system along with professional counselors be placed in the organization.

This would help in speedy intervention for HIV affected people belonging to vulnerable groups like commercial sex workers, homosexuals and transsexuals. A friendly, non-judgemental atmosphere would suit the patient and could help build a better interaction between them and the health care providers. General shyness, stigma and taboo surrounding sexuality can be targeted effectively through these intervention programmers.

HOW YOU CAN HELP

SIP+ would appreciate any contributions you can make to the organization.

Monetary contributions would be used for-

• Anti retro viral treatment
• General medicines for HIV+ children
• Children's education support
• Funeral servicess
• SIP overhead costs - electricity/water bills, salaries, and infrastructure. SIP hire full time staff and needs your support.
  
  If you would like your contribution to be used for a specific purpose, please mention it in the contribution form.
  
  The donations can be sent by way of Cheque / Demand draft favoring SOUTH INDIA POSITIVE NETWORK payable at Chennai. The donations are tax exempted under Section 80 G of IT Act 1961.

SIP+ encourages volunteers to spend time with its members. Your expertise is valuable and you can help by being a resource person at support group meetings, teaching PLWHA's new skills they could use in their lives. If you are a doctor, lawyer, or social worker, you could volunteer your services at our center. Students and others are also welcome to come share in our community, spend time with positive children, and spread some cheer and good will!
