  • South India Positive Network has been providing care and support to the positive people specially who are being consistently discriminated against in the public health settings. It has organizing medical care and attention related especially to specific health needs of HIV positive people. This includes constant running around from hospital and engaging the Health sector in dialogue for treatment of HIV positive people.
  • On 20th October 2001 we sent a destitute positive Eunnuch to Shanthi Bhavan Care Center in Pondicherry. This person has been denied treatment at the Government Hospitals due to her HIV status. Legal action in this regard is being Coordinated by South India Positive Network.
  • A girl child, daughter of one of the victim of HIV+ is being helped. The SIP+ president is presently her legal guardian. Gradually she is being taken for couple of surgeries for the skin tumors by SIP+ and her brother has been helped for Education and hostel facility in the city.
  • A marriage was arranged by the SIP+ between two HIV positive persons the lady was an ex-commercial sex worker. Continuous support and help is being offered to them and they are presently a happy married couple.
  • An HIV positive woman was helped through an income generation programme to set up a fruit stall. She and her two daughters are now able to manage their life fairly well.
  • On 26th October 2001 another Trans-sexual who was found to be infected with T.B. and was sent to shanthi bhavan , pondicherry.
  • On 7th February 2001 another positive Eunuch was helped financially for a corrective urinal surgery.
  • In the year 2004 - 2005 there are nine cases registered for denial of property.
